Dunsfold Airport Ltd (DAL) have submitted their long awaited additional information and the planning application, WA/2015/2395, is live again. The nearly 900 pages is mainly about transport, but crucially doesn’t really say very much!
Waverley Borough Council (WBC) have set October 7th as the deadline for comments and we are reliably led to believe that officers are planning to take the application to the Joint Planning Committee (JPC) mid to late October. This is despite repeated requests for longer to consider the revised submissions. WBC are applying unseemly haste to the application and appear to be indifferent to the fact that the draft Local Plan and planning application consultation are running in parallel.
Your existing objection still counts, but you can make additional comments on the new data and we strongly encourage you to do so. It is still the same application so you can follow our existing links for objections.
The Joint Parishes of Alfold, Bramley, Busbridge, Chiddingfold, Dunsfold, Hambledon, Hascombe, Loxwood, Plaistow and Ifold, Shalford and Wonersh have submitted a revised application to the Secretary of State to have the application called in. They have also sent a strongly worded letter to WBC requesting that they defer or reject the application prior to the draft Local Plan going through it’s inspection process. POW supports both initiatives by the Parish Councils.
Below are suggested reasons for objecting to both the local plan and the application.
